Fasting

Fasting on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday is a required penance for adult Catholics between 18 and 59. Some people choose additional days during Lent, especially other Fridays, during which they choose to fast.

Another way to fast is by dialing back on extravagance:  not going out to dinner as frequently, living more simply, or cutting back on TV, the internet, alcohol or other simple pleasures.

Almsgiving

This Lent, our parish will participate in CRS Rice Bowl, connecting our prayers, fasting, and giving to encounter God through our global family.

Many people have other causes they support which benefit the poor. Choose your own and make a meaningful gift this Lent.

To join, visit our parish page on the community tab and join the challenge! If you’re brand new to Hallow, visit hallow.com/parish or scan the QR code to get started.

CRS Rice Bowl
This Lent, our parish will participate in CRS Rice Bowl, connecting our prayers, fasting, and giving to encounter God through our global family. CRS Rice Bowl brings more than 11,000 parishes and schools across the U.S. to continue putting our faith into action to help our sisters and brothers around the world.

You are invited to take home one of these Rice Bowls and place it on your family’s dinner table or in another place where you’ll see it every day. Then, incorporate the daily reflections and actions found in the Lenten calendar each day.

You can pick up your bowl from the back of the church starting this Saturday, February 14th.

Women's Lent Prayer Group
Picture

This Lent, Jesus invites us to slow down, draw near, and walk more closely with Him. ✝️

Our Women’s Lent Prayer Group is a sacred space for prayer, Scripture, and heartfelt
conversation as we grow together in faith and friendship. Rooted in God’s Word and
guided by Christ’s love, we journey through Lent side by side—seeking renewal, hope,
and purpose. 💕🙏

All women are welcome. Come as you are, and let Jesus meet you there. 🌸✨
Lenten Journey for Men
Picture

Lent is a call to reflection, discipline, and renewal—and no man is meant to walk that road alone.
Our Lenten Journey for Men offers a relaxed, welcoming space for honest discussion grounded in the Sunday Mass readings. Together, we talk about faith, family, work, and the real challenges men face, seeking Christ’s guidance along the way. ✝️

This is an opportunity to grow as men of faith, strengthen fellowship, and become better leaders in our homes, church, and community. All men are welcome.

"Stroger Men Build Stronger Communities."
